Craniosacral Therapy for Newborns, Babies & Children

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on therapy that is safe and effective for all ages — including babies, toddlers, and children. Using light, nurturing touch, CST supports the body’s natural ability to release tension, restore balance, and promote wellbeing.

For children, CST is a calm, non-invasive approach that helps them feel safe and comfortable while encouraging the body to self-correct and function optimally. Each session is tailored to the child’s needs, creating a supportive environment for growth, development, and emotional balance.

My journey with Cranial Sacral Therapy is very close to my heart. My son was born prematurely and faced health challenges in his early months. During a worrying time for our family, we were guided towards Cranial Sacral Therapy. Through regular sessions, I saw gentle changes that supported his wellbeing and recovery.

This experience gave me a deep understanding of the vulnerability parents feel when their child is unwell, and it inspired me to train as a Cranial Sacral Therapy practitioner. I am now able to offer the same support to others.

How CST Can Help Young Children

Even for very young children, CST provides a soothing, nurturing experience that promotes comfort, calm, and resilience.

CST may support:

  • Relief from tension or discomfort caused by birth trauma or developmental strain

  • Support for colic, reflux, or digestive discomfort in babies

  • Improved sleep patterns and relaxation

  • Relief from headaches, neck, or back tension

  • Support for emotional wellbeing and stress relief

  • Encouragement of overall balance, coordination, and healthy development

CST For Older Children

“Craniosacral Therapy gently supports older children’s bodies and minds. Using light, nurturing touch, it helps release tension, restore balance, and promote calm, focus, and overall wellbeing — supporting growing bodies and developing minds.”

CST can support older children with a variety of physical, emotional, and developmental challenges, including:

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Neck, back, or joint tension

  • Stress, anxiety, or emotional dysregulation

  • Sleep difficulties

  • Digestive issues or abdominal discomfort

  • Postural or musculoskeletal discomfort

  • Support for learning, focus, and concentration

  • Recovery from minor injuries, accidents, or sports strain

Cranial works on both a physical and energetic level, calming the nervous system while clearing the mind and grounding the body. It is traditionally believed to support emotional balance, improve mental clarity, ease headaches, reduce fatigue, and nourish the scalp and hair.
