Pre- and postnatal massage

Pre- and postnatal massages are adapted with loving care for each stage of pregnancy, using safe positioning and gentle techniques to honour both mother and child.

Pre-pregnancy massage

Please note that this massage can only be performed after the first three months of your pregnancy.

During pregnancy, regular prenatal massages may not only help you relax, but may also relieve insomnia, joint pain, neck and back pain, leg cramping and sciatica.

Additionally, it can reduce swelling in your hands and feet, relieve carpal tunnel pain, and alleviate headaches and sinus congestion, calming nervous system – all common pregnancy problems. Massage may also lift depression without the use of medication, according to some scientific studies.

Pregnancy can be a beautiful journey, but as your body changes, you may experience new aches, swelling and stress. Pregnancy massage – a gentle, relaxing treatment designed to support the health and comfort of expecting mothers.

During your first visit, expect a brief consultation. You’ll be asked about your pregnancy stage, any previous massage experience, and any specific aches. This allows to tailor the session to you. You’ll lie on a massage table specially prepared with bolsters and pillows to support your body. Typically you will lie on your left side and right side if you feel comfortable, and cushions will be placed under your head, between your knees, and at key points for comfort.

Post-pregnancy Massage

After birth, the body and mind continue to adapt and heal. Postnatal massage provides nurturing support, helping mothers reconnect with their bodies, restore energy, and release lingering tension.

Pregnancy Reflexology

Pregnancy reflexology is a nurturing, holistic therapy that gently supports women through the later stages of pregnancy. Each session is thoughtfully adapted to honour the changing needs of both mother and baby, offering a calm, supportive space to relax, reconnect, and feel nurtured.

Using light, mindful pressure on specific reflex points of the feet, pregnancy reflexology works in harmony with the body’s natural rhythm, encouraging balance on a physical, emotional, and energetic level.

All pregnancy reflexology sessions are non-invasive and carried out with the utmost care. Pressure is always light and adapted to each stage of pregnancy, and specific reflex points are avoided to ensure safety.

You remain fully clothed and comfortable throughout the session. This therapy is intended to complement, not replace, medical care and should be undertaken alongside guidance from your healthcare provider.

First 12 Weeks: A Time of Rest and Protection

The first 12 weeks of pregnancy are a crucial time of early development, as the body lays the foundation for new life. During this stage, pregnancy reflexology is not offered.

This policy is in place to honour the sensitivity of early pregnancy and to ensure the highest level of care and safety. Gentle self-care practices such as rest, hydration, and emotional support are encouraged during this time.

Second Trimester: Restoring Balance &Vitality

From 13 weeks onward, pregnancy reflexology can be safely and gently offered. The second trimester is often a time of renewed energy and a deepening connection with your baby.

Reflexology during this stage supports relaxation, circulation, and overall wellbeing as the body continues to adapt to pregnancy.

It may support:

Third Trimester: Deep Relaxation & Preparation

The third trimester is a time of slowing down and preparing for birth. Pregnancy reflexology during this stage offers grounding, comfort, and deep relaxation as the body carries increased physical and emotional demands.

Sessions focus on easing tension, calming the nervous system, and supporting emotional readiness for birth and motherhood.
